Marchi SS/14 ‘Utopia’ Collection

Here’s the beautiful fashion film for Marchi‘s SS/14 ‘Utopia’ collection, featuring a voluminous organdy dress.  A mix of American-style ’50s minimalism, the post-war years, a tiime of utopian fantasies + the Golden Age of Television, all served as inspiration for ‘Utopia’.

While working on the collection, designers Valeria Marchi + Tasha Kukhar tried answering the question of what can be a utopia in the modern world.  Through the search process, creating the effect of layering, volume, + simultaneously, the transparency + lightness, answered that question.   The collection’s color palette included a mix of pastel colors, from yellow to exotic berry + deep green.

Unique prints, in the form of clippings from colored paper were developed by using a conventional plant that has been modified under the influence of the environment during the growth or aging, creating an unusual texture + color proportions.  Very striking results, correct?

Different fabrics in the collection included organdy, silk, textured linen + sports jersey.  Then there are all of those amazing accessories, from jewelry, handbags + shoes, perfectly complimenting each look throughout.  Yet, the sunglasses above are by far the best as far as the accessories go.
Marchi is available for purchase at NOT JUST A LABEL.
