is a plus in my book!
As seen here in NOT‘s A/W 2012 Lookbook, it is quite obvious the NOT woman likes texture, pattern, asymmetry and mixed proportions with loud subtlety enhanced by architectural details as seen below. Love the pairing of what looks to be quilted culottes (NOT excuse me if I’m incorrect) paired with a long sleeve draped top, punctuated by a flattened, if not 2D cowl neck. To then find it’s counterpart, on the other side, where darted trousers with a voluminous silhouette, capped off with yet another draped short sleeve top, having the bottom flung over the shoulder in complete disregard yet ultra chic!
Designed by New York’s own Jenny Lai, NOT’s Fall collection does not fall short from being interesting but rather stand out with subtle avant-garde elegance.
With a palette comprised of muted colors including different hues of gray, mushroom + the occasional mustard tone, it’s nice to see the collection come alive with hints of burgundy, the color for fall according to Marie Claire’s Fashion Director+ favorite Project Runway Judge, Nina Garcia.
I can go on and on, on how great NOT is but if the ingenuity below and overall collection isn’t testament to true talent, I don’t know what is.
