For his Resort 2014 collection, designer Oscar de la Renta found all florals as inspiration. Alex Bolen, his son-in-law + CEO, questioned this point of inspiration as being all wrong for December delivery, but ODLR dismissed the question at his showroom this morning, by saying ‘ I love the idea of flowers. Women don’t buy clothes for a specific time. If you love something, you buy it.’ – and who can argue with that? However, I think his inspiration stifled his collection from being a complete success with only the five looks below, in my opinion, as being the most interesting.
Unfortunately, most of the looks looked as if they were designed for an older customer with too long hemlines + already seen ODLR silhouettes, as the looks below.

However, that being said, ODLR is still a designer I respect + will always adore.
