As a native New Yorker, I’m embarrassed to admit this, but, this year’s Coney Island Mermaid Parade, which took place last Saturday, was my first but definitely not my last. The energy was phenomenal, the crowd was eclectic + the costumes were divine like these below (‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ starring Johnny Depp came to mind), which made me pull out my camera + shoot.
