Come December 1st, World Aids Day, the auction will be open for you to start bidding on your favorite one-of-a-kind special edition Eastpak Artist Studio creation in collaboration with Designers Against Aids. Some of the world’s most talented creatives will once again be given the task of customizing + reinterpreting a blank iconic Eastpak Padded Pak’r®. All proceeds will be donated to charity organization, Designers Against Aids.
The first three designers in the series are:
WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK | ‘I am very happy to support Designers Against AIDS as much as possible. Keep on dreaming the world awake + play it safe! Big hug, Walter.’
KRJST | ‘We only hear about HIV through the past. Our generation needs to understand that it is something real + bring it back to the reality of today.’
MANOLO BLAHNIK | ’Pompons are a very important part of our culture + often form part of my collections. I really hope people will be inspired by my design. I feel very honored to be a part of this project + to help support such a worthy cause.’
I especially love Walter’s monster bag but enjoy KJRST’s all-over pattern.
The other designers included are MSGM, Tim Coppens, Antoine Peters, Lala Berlin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Henrik Vibskov, Christopher Lee Suavé, Gaspard Yurkevich, Sybilla, Elio Fiorucci, Scooter LaForge, Christopher Shannon + Chris Janssens.
So be sure to mark your calendars, to not only give back to such a worthy cause but to also gain a one-of-a-kind piece by a top designer.
Good luck!
