Inspired by the graphic body decorations employed by the now-extinct Selk’nam people of Tierra Del Fuego, for their coming-of-age ceremony called Hain (below), Paris based designer Ignacia Zorda’s debut SS/15 collection of the same name, beautifully translates their story.

Black + white looks perfectly replicate the Selk’nam body painting patterns through cutouts, silhouettes + prints including horizontal stripes in varying widths + what looks like white hand-painted dots on black. Designer Ignacia Zorda is definitely a designer to look forward to, for more seasons to come.
