Here’s a perfect example of why I love fashion films so much!

Premiering on Purple TV, the imagery, look + styling for artist Amanda Charchian‘s ‘Quand Vas Tu Rentrer?’ paired with musician friend Melody Prochet’s (Melody’s Echo Chamber) soundtrack, is just breathtaking.  Shot on 16mm + inspired by the erratic camera work of Bruce Connor’s ‘Breakaway’ + Guy Bourdin’s sculptural symmetry, you feel like you’re being transported into a lush Seventies world, full of mystery, sexy intrigue + surrealist hints, inside the United Artists Theater founded by Charlie Chaplin.  One scene in particular reminds me of Alejandro Jodorowsky‘s ‘Holy Mountain’ (below).

Brilliant!

Enjoy!
