Elegance is something Ralph Rucci’s designs never lack + his Resort 2014 collection is no exception. Rucci takes a more organic approach to the reflective imagery trend, rather than using digital reproductions, by hand-painting silk jersey dresses, cotton canvas jackets + coats, with Rorschach-inspired prints, to great effect. Familiar silhouettes pop with the simplest details, including color blocking. But, my favorite, however, are the crepe de chine wrapped trousers (row 3, look 1), giving the illusion of a tailored maxi skirt.
