For Resort 2014, the Burberry Prorsum woman likes to have fun, with little to no effort, play dress-up + is anything but shy, with a color palette full of pastels. Lace dominated the collection. There were simple sweater + skirt looks, yet, when the sweater is a simple pullover or cardigan set + the skirt is all lace (row1, look3 + row 2 look 2), the overwhelming sexiness is downplayed to modest degree, or is it – a perfect brunch look, don’t you think? And who could miss the vast array of lace dresses, who’s hems were below the knee, ranging from long sleeves to sleeveless, in a range of colors including golden yellow, mint, white + black.
There were a few looks that specifically accentuated a woman’s back, a sexy feature, often overlooked. Take that beautiful sweet pastel pink bow open back sweater, with the simple brocaded mauve pencil skirt (row 2, look 2) – isn’t it just the best? Yet, the sweetest detail for me was the bejeweled elbow pads on the cardigan in row 1, look 1.
