For his Pre-Fall 2014 collection, designer Christopher Kane once more, drew inspiration from snake print, as he did back in 2008 + the molecular structure for DNA.  Snake print embellished a lot of the looks in this collection in a more ‘sinister way’ than before, as Kane put it.  Snake print pieces included a zippered cut-out dress with snake print piping (row 3, look 3) + a jacket that looked like it was comprised of several velcro closures as those found on a sneaker (row 1, look 3).

Another motif in the collection was a molecular structure + the DNA strand.  The print was sprinkled on dresses + tops, at times with plastic disks around the hemline (row 3, look 2) or paired with mesh discs on a black sweatshirt (row 2, look 3).  This molecular motif also influenced accessories including necklaces + bracelets (row3, look2).
