For Úna Burke, It's All About Leather Studded Curves

For Her ‘Overcome’ A/W 2012 Collection

Unlike Úna Burke‘s past work, which dealt more with construction and restraint, this ‘Overcome’ Fall collection deals with a different kind of restraint. Úna’s creations still hug the female silhouette yet with this collection, she works with a lighter hand creating loops and arabesques joined together by beautiful hardware. What’s even greater is the juxtaposition of hard and soft in using pointed edged shapes along with the open loop shapes. Úna really knows how to edit herself as hard as it is to think of her in the ‘less is more’ category with such craftsmanship and vision.
