For Houghton’s Fall 2014 collection, it’s easy to see how designer Katharine Polk cited Katharine Hepburn + Bianca Jagger as muses. Both Katherine + Bianca mastered how to wear masculine silhouettes with style + sex appeal, which was present on the runway in oversize robe coats with boxy pants. Sheer lace looks highlighted femininity while suspender style dresses over a striped long sleeved tee to an A-line mohair short dress displayed it’s playful side. Above all else though, it was great to see a lot of white in the collection continuing to dispel the truth about not wearing ‘white after labor day’.
