When you look at Older Studio‘s pieces, two things jump out at you – texture + form. Created by Morten Thuesen, the pieces are not so much a collection on their own but rather new additions to the longstanding Older Studio ideal of not existing in succession, yet as part of an ongoing assessment of sartorial femininity.
The label represents minimalism in the best way possible, by creating silhouettes that if the wearer were wearing nothing but lip balm as the only accessory, the clothes would still stand out. Take the track suit above for instance, with surprising tapered harem pants + a high boatneck. And who doesn’t love a flirtation with length, beautifully noted in the dress above + the skirts below?
Referring to modern woman’s need to be equipped with functional wardrobe necessities, Older Studio creates pieces that embrace understatement as means to develop novel expressions. Then you have the use of provocative fabrics + innovative materials which add that extra touch to solemn shapes, synonymous with Older Studio’s signature.
