With summer accessories bright enough to turn up the heat, the idea of pairing them with make-up + nails just as intense makes for a memorable summer. Above, model Yenny Garcia of Q models, seduces with a head scarf by Shannon Shiang, complimented by teal nails, nude pink lips + glossy magenta eyeshadow.
Here + everywhere thereafter, Harlem’s Heaven Hats take center stage with their ring + earring at left + their yellow origami straw hat at right. The gold eyeshadow + orange lips at left is very ‘femme fatale, on holiday’, while the bright light pink with the yellow hat, is just plain fun.
This look is one of my faves – a purple velvet turban, bejeweled with an orange + purple brooch, accented by gold eyeshadow, very highlighted cheekbones + nude whitish pink lips.
Here, the model is portrayed as both ‘good’ + ‘evil’ – ‘evil’ at left with the stylist’s own sunglasses + orange lipstick, looks like a woman who commands respect + ‘good’ at right, with orange nails + lips + gold eyeshadow, softened by the big floppy butterscotch straw hat.
