While looking through the pics of Gucci’s Fall collection, I couldn’t help but think about Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1966 film ‘Blow-Up’ starring Vanessa Redgrave (a must see). ’Blow Up’ is about a fashion photographer who may or may not have witnessed a murder in ‘trendy London’, which was a place full of stylish + fun fashions. I could easily see this photographer shooting any of these models back then, as these looks are timeless, like Gucci luxe.
There were as many tailored looks as there were casual. Pants + jackets were kept sleek + lean (row 2, look 2), occasionally softened with shaggy + fuzzy coats (row 4, look 2). The dresses were short but their length did not diminish their high fashion. A lot were in leather including one with random ruffles (row 1, look 3), while others were embellished in crystals (row 2, look 3). But what about those python boots + eyeglasses? Sick!
