For her spring collection, it was obvious why Sophia Webster called it ‘a bug’s slumber party’, full of lots of color, fun + whimsy. Bugs were everywhere, figuratively + literally. Models took on a bug’s persona with hair brilliantly coiffed to look like super high antennae. There were butterflies fluttering up legs, on top + back of shoes + on bags too. Some shoes were in full bloom, adorned with florals worthy of any award-winning garden.
I especially loved the high-heeled jelly sandals, that looked as if they were made of soft + flattened Jolly Ranchers + cartoonish clutches, shaped like word bubbles, with the sayings ‘Bite Me’ + ‘You Buggin’ inside them.
