How Do You Eat Pasta Without Gaining Weight?

I simply love Futuro Remoto Gioielli’s ‘Pasta Necklace’. Not only is it avant-garde, but it’s also drenched in plenty of wit. Handmade in Italy, you have 18kt Gold plated sterling silver angel hair pasta + a fork made of sterling silver with a satin finish. Underneath the fork’s handle, you’ll find an adjustable clasp closure.

But the best thing about this necklace is how you can wear it with either a casual or evening look.

Futuro Remoto Gioielli’s ‘Pasta Necklace’ is available for purchase here.

The Sexy Irony Of Fashion Film ‘Show Me More’, 2015 BFFF’s Winner For Best Hair + Make-Up

You have to love the irony of fashion film ‘Show Me More’, winner of this year’s ‘Best Hair + Make-Up’ at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival (BFFF). Directed by Thomas Kruesselmann with hair + make-up by Dagmar Schwarz, you have a model enter a room, with a double-sided mirror, in nothing but her underwear + a large suitcase . She asks the mirror, ‘So what do you want me to do?’, to which stylist Rolf Buck replies, from the other side, ‘Show me more.’ But, instead of taking it all off, the model proceeds to dress herself further, until she’s in a complete look, including sunglasses, of course.

Very clever + sexy!

Enjoy!

Acne Studio’s Play With Pattern, Texture + Silhouette For Resort 2016

acne-studios-015-1366

Acne’s Resort collection was filled with so much detail, it was hard for me to pick my favorite looks.

There was a play with silhouettes, like a gorgeous white trench with oversized pockets (below, row 2, pic 2), a pant suit with a long robe-style jacket over cropped trousers (row 2, pic 1), to a fitted cropped top over a button down shirtpaired with a short skirt bearing long side panels (row 2, pic 3). Knotted fabric detail embellished a dress, tying the top to the bottom of it, while an interesting geometric pattern accented the front of top (below, row 1, pic 3). A mix of textures came into play brilliantly, in the pants above, with a shorts-pant hybrid in a striped pattern, covered in sheer fabric on one side, while attached to see-through long pants decorated with different colored geometric shapes, in both sheer + opaque fabrics.

Artist Enrico Nagel Engages Using ‘Second Sight’

Second-Sight51

The ‘Second Sight’ photographic series by German Artist, Illustrator Enrico Nagel, looks like a mistake gone right. With water baths, burning + coloring, the image takes on new meaning, as what was there has transformed into another photograph with a different context, especially when you find what appears to be a coffee ring on it.

I love how the title of the series implies having the sixth sense of ‘second sight’, but then, your view is obstructed, eluding more to the fact of seeing a second representation of the picture.

Get A Good Laugh With ‘Aspirational’, 2015 BFFF’s ‘Best Idea + Casting’ Winner

You have to love ‘Aspirational’, this year’s winner for ‘Best Idea + Casting’ at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival. Directed by Matthew Frost + starring Kirsten Dunst, the film perfectly captures the notion of self-absorption with one’s own celebrity, in the form of the infamous selfie, where two girls stop their car after spotting Dunst, ask her to take a selfie with each of them + then run off. The girls are so obsessed in getting ‘likes’ that the roles are reversed in the selfie, where the famous Dunst becomes a famous ‘extra’ while the girls are the true celebrities.

This Summer, Gus Gus Wants You To Be ‘Obnoxiously Sexual’

Now that Summer is officially here, with less clothing + more skin to bare, we have no other alternative than to be ‘Obnoxiously Sexual’ like the track of the same name by dope Icelandic band Gus Gus. With lyrics like, ‘Feeling me in the car, the pressure points of paramount importance. Going way too far, testing our limit, the endless minute.  Obnoxiously sexual, who do we think we are. Come + behold it’s the fight with limits of consummates with my spirit distorted,’ + ‘Delightfully sensual, shockingly despicably beautiful. I figure its clear by now, that love is a muscle of evil suggestion,’ you have no choice but to let your inhibitions run wild in the heat + making it a Summer to remember. So, Wake up!

Enjoy!

Visually Taste 2015 BFFF’s Winner For Best Make Up With Little Boots

Sit back + stay twisted with Little Boots‘ video for ‘Taste It’, winner of this year’s ‘Best Make Up’ award at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival (BFFF). Directed by Ish Sahotay with Make up by Holly Silius, as the video moves to the left, like a conveyor belt, you get to see different versions of Little Boots mixed in with sick visuals. But the video would not be complete without Little Boots’ track which compliments this video perfectly.

Now doesn’t the look of this video remind you a lot of artist Maurizio Cattelan’s ‘Toilet Paper‘ magazine?

Enjoy!
