How incredible is this jacket?

I love how this ‘Fringed Metallic Knitted Jacket’ by Tim Ryan, can turn such a simple look, into one that looks effortlessly chic.  Not only is the fringe soooo working for me, but the back pattern + colors compliment the overall design.  This limited edition knitted jacket is embellished with multicolored satin fringes, can definitely channel that Seventies look, especially for a night out.

Disco Goblin Avant-Garde Haute Couture

When two 7ft disco goblins got together to create Duo RAW (aka RAWboys), they filled a huge void in Sweden’s club scene with high drama + avant-garde haute couture finesse, that I wish spilled into New York.  (Maybe I’m just not going to the right parties?!)  When Andreas Kiss Nilsson + Ronny Willberg Johansson met online five years ago + fell madly in love, out ‘of an itch they had to scratch, a creative outlet where everything is possible’, Duo RAW was born.

According to Duo RAW, ’ The goal is to have fun, entertain, get entertained, take over the world.’  And they certainly have proven they are two huge forces to be reckoned with in being ‘flawless in their very own special haute couture made with a creative mind, sharp needles + a hell lot of talent,’ as seen from these pictures.  They have elevated the club kid outfit to that of high art + sheer genius.

To think, this ‘is what happens when two creative forces collide + get engaged to each other.’

Enjoy!

Created by by Russian designer Aliona Kononova, her МОЁ  SS/15 ‘Point Of View’ collection is full of interesting silhouettes.  Full of various nuances including draping + color blocking, my favorite has to be the pieces with feathers, perfect for Spring.  And, can we just talk about that sculptural hat with the huge visor? Love!

MORNING WOOD: Wooden Spiral Staircase Model

image

I’ve always loved wooden staircase models.  Not only do they make great sculptures but they’re also amazing springboards for your imagination,  picturing yourself going up those steps or seeing them in the home of your dreams.  Bill Blass, the late iconic fashion designer, owned several, as seen below, in this picture of his home, assembled so beautifully.

Look at it this way, if you tell people you have a spiral staircase in your home, you won’t be lying, even if you live in a fabulous, teeny tiny, New York apartment!

Cara Delevingne Is Now LOVE’s Contributing Editor

image

To celebrate Cara Delevingne’s new gig as LOVE‘s new contributing editor, here is one of the magazine’s favorite Cara video moments in ‘CaraOke’ by Liz Collins ‘singing’ Prince’s ‘Kiss’.  Her first task will be guest editing LOVE 13, the Spring 2015 issue which drops Feb. 9.  And of course, none other than Sølve Sundsbø shot her contributor’s portrait below, for the Spring issue, wearing a look from Givenchy’s spring 2015 collection, styled by Katie Grand, editor-in-chief of LOVE magazine.

How does she find the time?!
