WANTED: Mint Crossover Jumpsuit By Angela Bang

If anything can inspire you to start hitting the gym + put down that nightly chocolate snack, it’s this ‘Mint Crossover Jumpsuit’ by Angela Bang.  Featuring a cross over v-neckline with a cut-out back + self-tie straps, this jumpsuit would be as flattering on a curvy woman as much as it would on a twig thin chick + you can thank the trousers for that.  As a curvy woman myself, I find that jumpsuits with cropped regular fit trousers + a zip back closure, flatter me best.  I usually stay away from wide leg jumpsuits as they tend to cling to my hips, making me look square.  Part of Bang’s ’Paradise Isle’ collection, this clean silhouette in a soft pastel, guarantees chic style with a lot of sexiness.  Now, if only it came with a tan, to really make you stand out?!

This ‘Mint Crossover Jumpsuit’ by Angela Bang is available for purchase at NOT JUST A LABEL.

3 Different Ways To Give Flowers For Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s Day, it’s customary to give your paramour a bouquet of real flowers, albeit all in their favorite color + or, their favorite flower.  Now, the one true advantage here, depending on the type of flower, is the lingering fragrance until its inevitable date of termination.  But what about breaking with tradition this year + giving flowers in the form of photography books showcasing them at their best?

With ‘Botanica Magnifica: Portraits of the World’s Most Extraordinary Flowers + Plants‘ with photographs by Jonathan Singer + text by W. John Kress + Marc Hachadourian, you get to see up close portraits of interesting florals, with some bordering on alien?

image

With the ‘Encyclopedia Of Flowers’, you get to see amazing floral works created by genius Makoto Azuma + photographed by Shunsuke Shiinoki, with ‘designs’ that can’t help but let the viewer get lost in every image.  Take the pic on the upper left below, + how there’s no inch of discussion with the assemblages created within themselves etcetera.

Finally, with ‘Dream Sequence‘ by Madame Peripetie, striking portraits are related celebrating the the crossroads between fashion, photography, performance + art.  Florals do not only become part of the background but they in turn, become part of the makeup, accessories + clothing, accentuated by the emotion displayed, as a whole.

Madonna’s ‘Living For Love’ Video Increases My Appetite For Her Grammy Performance Tonight

Love her or not, to salivate further over Madonna’s Grammy performance tonight, singing ‘Living For Love’, here’s her latest music video for this track.  Besides it being a beautiful video, that bass line in the chorus always gets under my skin, prompting goosebumps.  And the sound?  A modern disco vibe, wouldn’t you say?

Can’t wait to see what’s up her sleeve, because at this point, with a song like this, Madonna could come out covered in paint, standing perfectly still + I wouldn’t get mad!

Graphic + Visual Effects Make Fashion Film For ‘Paper + Graphic’ Collection Pop

This fashion film showcases designer Alena Lebedeva‘s ‘Paper + Graphic’ collection, is as beautiful as the clothes featured.  Being Alena’s first collection, based on different kinds of graphics + visual effects, it’s full of interesting elements including glitch art that somehow melts off garment, transformed into long, white fabric strips to line drawings, made to look like jumbo patterns + illustrated jewelry.  The designer also achieves graphic statements with her use of color + shape.  Another thing that the collection contains, as does the film, with its special effects + unique sound, is texture, giving it that much more appeal.

The Book Of Mormon Missionary Positions #TrueStory

image

I couldn’t stop laughing + smiling after seeing ‘The Book Of Mormon Missionary Positions’ by photographer Neil Dacosta .  The cover design, made to look like ‘the good book’, full of photos of those guys that knock on your door uninvited, in missionary positions is hilarious, especially while still wearing their geeky uniforms, which could only mean one thing – they’re so horny, they don’t have time to take off their clothes.  Not to mention the word ‘missionary’ also means a person undertaking a religious mission to help others, making it that much funnier.  But, come on, wouldn’t you open the door to them, seeing as this is how you were going to be helped?!

Talk about a fun way to protest, considering Pope Francis’s plea to not mock other religions, after the horrific deaths of popular cartoonists from the French weekly satirical paper ‘Charlie Hebdo’ in early January.  It’s awesome to see how freedom of speech is still free!

A perfect Valentine’s Day gift, don’t you think?!
