There’s nothing I love more than men in pink + in fashion film ‘Candy’s Room’,  for ‘Jesus And Other Superheroes’ editorial, it just gets better when the men are this appetizing.  A KALTBLUT exclusive,  photographer Luis Carlo Aguayo creates portraits of models Pol Gerez + Fernando Garcia, that are a perfect mix of opposites, hard + soft.

Pairing pink masks, from the photographer’s own private collection, with jewelry by Italian fashion designer Stefano de Lellis is more than just brilliant.

Enjoy some pics from this KALTBLUT editorial.

Miley Cyrus: Tongue Tied on Nowness.com

Mixed media artist + filmmaker Quentin Jones sure knows how to grab your attention, with her surrealist approach to filmmaking.  It just so happens that Jones was put to the task of creating something for Miley Cyrus‘ current ‘Bangerz’ tour + this was the bangin’ result.

In ‘Miley’, a two-minute black + white video directed by Jones, her signature usage of stop motion animation with bursts of paint, matched perfectly with the ‘Miley’ persona – a sexy caricature of herself who doesn’t make apologies for her actions, isn’t afraid of sex + above all else, knows how to have fun.

Cutouts of Miley’s eyes + mouth were placed on other parts of her body, turning up the surrealist factor.  Jones then repeatedly usesd popular sex motifs like fishnets, latex + exaggerated eyelashes, perhaps made of black paper, to revere the singer’s sex appeal, no matter how many times you’ve seen her stick her tongue out at you.

Enjoy!

image

If any outfit has it all, it’s this one right here by CHICHIA.  With the trendy mix of patterns, ruffles + fringe, each piece can take you into Summer + beyond.

The ‘Shoga’ Cami, a  strappy camisole top in contrast print, fringe detail + solid contrast colour back. with contrast ruffle and chest detail.

Then pair it with ‘The Wima Trousers’, full of top to bottom patterns + you’re sure to stop traffic.image

Wake up with this great classical music video + trust me, you won’t fall back to sleep.  ’The Classical Comeback’, with music by Dvořák Symphony No. 9 Allegro Con Fuoco + presented by B-Classic, is described as a new music video format that gives classical music the same recognition as pop + rock music by combining the timeless emotion of classical music with the visual talent of contemporary director Raf Reyntjens.  By combining scandalous  + to some, almost tasteless choreography, with high-brow music, the viewer has no choice but to watch + listen, as each dancer acts like a graphic equalizer component.

You must admit t’s quite a brilliant way to expose classical music to many that wouldn’t care much for the genre.  How could something so wrong be so right?

Funny how it reminded me of this scene in an old porn flick I once saw, where Beethoven’s ‘Ode To Joy’ played in the background while the plumber comes over + fixes the ‘plumbing’.

Enjoy!

At Home With Grace Coddington

image

Anything Grace Coddington is always good in my book  + when I saw these pics of her at home, parts of her memoir came alive inside my head.  Her love for cats was never so apparent.  Besides her beloved Bart, who is the cutest thing ever, you see her cat pillows she’s been collecting since the 80s (below). image

You also get to see shelves all of the English ceramics, cat teapots + mugs Coddington has collected for decades which make a powerful statement en masse (above).  I love the Chanel blanket + all the pictures lining up Grace’s  bedroom.

Now, thanks to her years of collecting, although known for styling the best fashion moments ever, she’s been enlisted to focus on the nude subject.  Entitled Vogue: ‘No Clothes.’, the online auction of nudes curated by Grace on Paddle8 will be available to view May 1 – May 16.

Here’s just a few of the photos to be auctioned off:

‘Relics Of Technology’ Photo Series

image

Call me a romantic but as much as I go crazy for the latest + greatest new tech, I have a soft spot for earlier pieces of technology, especially the 8-Track, which made me go crazy for this photo series.  Entitled ‘Relics Of Technology’, photographer Jim Golden, created a series comprised of a collection of dated pieces of technology including floppy disks + a monstrous cell phone – imagine trying to fit that wherever, for a night out?

Sunglasses That Look As Good On Your Head As They Do On Your Face

Quite often, I’ve found myself wearing sunglasses on my head, as much as they looked good on my face, even on cloudy days.  Sure, for those with hair, it doubles as a headband but other times, it’s shape + color just adds that little extra to your look.  Cat eye sunglasses for the most part, dominate this concept, but I believe it applies to all shapes.

Now although there are so many sunnies out there to choose from, I’ve selected these six based on shape + color.
