Flashback To The Future With Miike Snow’s ‘Heart Is Full’ Video
Besides it being a smooth track, Miike Snow’s video for ‘Heart Is Full’ is super cool. In it, you see this cool chick, dressed in futuristic looks worthy of ‘Bladerunner’ + ‘The Fifth Element’, that’s lethal with a chain that can make a hole right through a man. If you notice, her cartwheel scene, is very reminiscent of Daryl Hannah’s character ‘Pris’, when she’s fighting Harrison Ford in Bladerunner.
Enjoy!

Installation Porta Estel·lar Gives ‘Traveling At The Speed Of Light’ A Whole Meaning
More chances than not, to take a trip where someone is transported into another state of consciousness or another ‘galaxy’, if you will, where lights + sounds set the course, while bending time + space, usually, the assistance of hallucinogens or sensory-deprivation tanks manage to make that all possible. Now imagine all that, without any assistance of the sort but rather, that of just plain art? Well that’s exactly what PlayMid accomplished with a new installation called Porta Estel·lar (Catalan for star gate). I mean, just look at the amazing film stills below!
PlayMid, comprised of design studios Playmodes + MID, created an interstellar experience, in an empty stationary plane. This plane however, with an interior engulfed by light + sound, does not take off, but rather, ends up guaranteeing visitors a ridic experience, setting a course towards anywhere but here. Talk about giving ‘traveling at the speed of light’ a whole new meaning!
So just sit back, fasten your seat belts + be prepared to be amazed by the video below.

Get Ready To Gag Over Missy Elliott’s New Music Video For Track ‘WTF (Where They From)’ Feat. Pharrell Williams
(My apologies for the video not being able to play here but you’ll be redirected by clicking on YouTube link above.)
Missy Elliott never disappoints, but boy, she’s outdone herself with this one!
Her new music video for track ‘WTF (Where They From)’ featuring Pharrell Williams, is pure fire! From her phrasing to the sick beats, you know this song is going to be on repeat for awhile. Did I mention there’s a marionette of Missy killing it with dance moves of its own?! Then you have Pharell’s verse which is awesomesauce!
It’s definitely bound to stop the chilly weather in its tracks with its heat!
The different outfits she wears are crazy as usual, but, on point of course. I especially love the disco ball look complete with crystal encrusted lips. But, no Missy Elliott video would be complete without her spot on choreography!
Love, love, love!
Enjoy!

Uniqlo’s Sexist Star Wars Collection
With only a month + change away before the premiere of ‘Star Wars The Force Awakens’, why not show your love for the iconic franchise with the help of Uniqlo? Yet, be forewarned Ladies, they only come in Men’s + Boys sizes which really sucks! I guess Uniqlo thinks Star Wars is not feminine enough for us female nerds?! Either way, I’m a sucker for a great pattern or print, Star Wars + Uniqlo, so I’m sure to make something fit! (It never fails-even Men’s sneaker colorways are ALWAYS better!)
Featuring an impressive selection of reasonably priced items, like this flannel shirt above, with strategically placed Yodas throughout, even if you’re a die-hard fan or not, you won’t be able to resist buying at least one thing. The beauty of this collection is the different patterns, where repetition is key. So if you’re a pattern whore like me, trust, you’ll buy something!
Take the umbrellas above. The black, grey + white umbrella features multiple Darth Vaders while the green one features multiple Yodas. I wonder which would keep you driest, considering which character’s force is the strongest?
Then you have slippers with C-3PO + R2D2 to keep your toes toasty.
Another great item in the collection is pajama bottoms, like these cool black + white ones, displaying storm troopers. You must admit though, these would come in handy, just in time for cuffing season!

Quirky Shoe Series That Explain How ‘Everything Has A Sole’
With the ever changing style of women’s shoes, one has seen everything from heels that look like armadillos, futuristic sculptural structures that defy gravity to 3D-printed creations, but no one has quite captured them like this. ‘Everything has a sole’, a series of quirky shoes for Bianco collection, created by Copenhagen-based artists Stephan Friedli + Ulrik Martin Larsen from studio PUTPUT, combined daily life objects + materials with heels + soles. Ironically, most of the shoes have a tread platform sole, making them very utilitarian, fashionable + contemporary. In the end, you end up with a whole series of witty + charming heels.
I have many favorites. Which are yours?

WANTED: Khaki Shearling Grace Bomber Jacket By Baartmans + Siegel
I’m a fan of any bomber jacket, especially one this special + so interesting. The ‘Khaki Shearling Grace Bomber Jacket‘ above, part of Baartmans + Siegel’s debut womenswear collection, draws its inspiration from Nordic winters + the colours of the Aurora Borealis, with its khaki bomber shell + its blue curly shearling fluffy collar + interior, peeking out from the bottom.
Either worn to the office with culottes, sure to make an impact with any new client or late night hook-ups, for that unexpected twist, this is a ‘must cop’ for this season.
For work, you can pair this pale blush Donna Karan turtleneck, with exposed shoulders + Vika Gazinskaya faux leather culottes, playing up the mixed texture allure of this look. Throw in some red on top with this Pluma necklace then with the Perrin Paris clutch, followed by a ring depicting the New York City skyline, this look would not be complete without such interesting booties like these by IRO combining leather + wool.

For play, there’s nothing like wearing velvet over-the-knee boots with a short red crepe dress, to really show off this gorgeous jacket. Throw on this somewhat dangerous yet sexy looking necklace by Giuseppe Zanotti, with rings for both hands by Pippa Small + Maison Margiela, picking up all the hues of your look, finished off by this boomerang clutch with its wooden detail, makes for a look to remember. Of course, with a sexy look like this, with a dress that screams ‘easy access’, you’ll be sure to hook-up quite easily.
