Love this video for The Presets‘ single ‘Promises’. It’s like a time machine for digital art where what was considered old is now new – love the ending.
‘Promises’ compliments it’s visual aid eloquently.

With the NYE right around the corner, one immediately thinks, sequins, shiny, or anything glittery something to wear as in a dress or separate, jewelry, bags and hair accessories but clearly, not all at once. So why not try switching it up a bit and starting your new year in full bloom with these beautiful flower clips by Parisian Karubo Balloboo.
(photo: Karuna Balloo)
An idea that literally started on her head, Karuna Balloo often adorned her hair with clips full of blooming instigation. Every time she would wear one, her friends wanted one and as the demand grew larger, she figured the next logical step would be to go into business. Formerly a textile designer, Karuna now aptly calls herself a horticultrice textile due to the laboring process of creating her flowers using just one square piece of cloth. The origami-like folding is inspired by the folded flowers found on a kanzashi (Japanese ornamental hairpin) worn by geishas. Yet, not any old fabric will do. Karuna collects vintage dead stock from RTW + haute couture collections in France, which usually includes finding that ‘right’ piece of gold lamé. Sometimes, she might add a few lifelike fabric stamens to give it more depth.
Plus, with names including ‘Volver’ based on her favorite Pedro Almodovar film, ‘Hawaiian Wedding’ based on an Elvis Presley song + ‘One Night In Bangkok’, how can a girl resist?

Well, I Guess Some Folks Seem To Think So With The Existence Of ‘The Billionaire Shop’ Exists
I almost fell off my chair when I saw this – ‘The Billionaire Shop’, where you’re a click away from purchasing the above Lamborghini Aventador for $350,000 and much, much more. I mean really, with that much money, I would just send my ‘minions’ to do my shopping for me while I’m pampering myself. Yet, based on the selections including motorcycles, helicopters, residences, cars, jets + watches, it seems to be more geared towards men.
Sure a woman has plenty of online resources including Moda Operandi, net-a-porter + LUISAVIAROMA to buy designer goods, but then again, we’re just talking in the thousands and with today’s economy, that’s nothing but, don’t let me fool you into thinking I have any kind of money like that. It’s not to say that a billionairess wouldn’t be interested in yachts, cars or watches but why would she care really, to make that purchase herself when she could be out spinning, getting a colonic, ‘faking it’ with her personal trainer or getting something plumped, sucked or tucked?
It’s a bit disgusting, I must admit, to know that someone would be that stupid + ‘over the top’ in buying a Gulfstream G650,
a twin-engine business jet aircraft for $65.4 million when they can simply fly First Class. However, I don’t see anything wrong with shelling out $55,000 for The Row’s Damien Hirst alligator backpack, pills included at Just One Eye.
Sure it might make some nauseous but at least part of the proceeds go to UNICEF and who doesn’t love great art together with style that’s functional too?

These adidas kicks are killer, especially the one’s with the translucent neon green outsole.
Part of the adidas Originals Superstar CLR Series, from their Fall/Winter 2012 collection, although the design might be familiar, there are slight differences. In PU-coated leather in black with the optional traditional clear outsole + as previously mentioned, the clear neon green color way. What a cheap + stylish way to bring in the ‘sun’!
Available at adidas Originals online + at adidas Originals retailers.

Love this music video for Polish hip-hop artist Paweł Kapliński’s, better known as Pezet, + music producer Jimek‘s (same behind Beyoncé’s ‘End Of Time’ remix) ‘Nie musze wracac’ (‘I Do Not Have To Go Back’). Using an old-school track to set the mood, directed by Kijek/Adamski for Reebok Classic Trax, the video’s simple complexities takes the typical b-ball court location/scenario in a hip-hop music video, to another level.
I love the ingenious use of the fence referencing pixels with random shots of graffiti in NYC, San Francisco + Lisbon, Pezet, Jimek et al, rather than being so straightforward- the beat’s not bad either.

Can you imagine any holiday better than with Capote + Warhol? Legendary!
Part of their S/S13 collection, COMME des GARÇONS has decided to gift us the early release of the small leather goods above. Comprised of wallets, billfolds + card holders, in fluorescent colors, they just can’t be beat – I especially love the gold logo against the green.
Available in-store + online (soon) at RODEN GRAY.

Well Here She Is!
For those of us who’s love affair with Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington began after watching ‘The September Issue’ to then run + buy his/her copy of ‘Grace’, her memoir, I’m sure, like me, you still wish she just moved in + called it a day. But since that won’t happen, Polish label Laloushka came up with the next best thing, a doll that looks like ‘Grace’ ?
Part of Collectible Dolls, World Fashion Designers collection, the handmade ‘Grace Coddington Doll‘ has crazy, crazy red hair (of course!), hand-stitched eyes, a decorative beaded mouth accessorized by mini leather accessories including huge orange earrings, a black bag + pointy shoes. Available at Browns, they also carry an ‘Azzedine Alaia Doll‘ wearing his signature look in black + an ‘Alber Elbaz Doll’ with specs + an outfit true to life complete with teeny kicks.

Miuccia Prada in her signature black full skirt with black shirt, dangling earrings, bracelet + low pony do, Sonia Rykiel with her crazy red hair, front-buttoned black dress, stockings, shoes, mini black heart-shaped clutch + charm bracelet and another of my favorites, due
