Applauding all different kinds of women for being wonderful, from those strolling about with unkempt hair to the posh lady who ONLY sleeps on four figured sheets, Karl Lagerfeld managed to create a cohesive collection with pieces that intended to be seen at the same time + at the same place, the street.

Beautiful floral prints on leather, of Karl’s design, decorated boots + shoes, ready to march in protest while reversible coats in beautiful tweeds also made as strong a statement.  I particularly loved Karl’s take on the polo shirt in a suit green pinstripe with a collar + cuffs in a contrasting colored tweed.

Now I don’t know what it is about the center look above but it just made me swoon with every little touch.  Could it be the eye makeup paired with those  shades, with the mostly purple look broken up with a pink floral scarf + the grey purse?  Maybe, but it just works for me on all levels.

Karl almost made it as a game in which he asks, ‘Can you spot the posh + street look?’  Once such case is the third look above, where the arms piled up to there with bangles is a ‘street’ signature.  Yet no matter what, every look was flawless.

Luckily, voyeurs have the pleasure of seeing both high + low looks worthy of all different kinds of women that do nothing but always bring out her best.

If you thought Sia’s conceptual video for ’Chandelier‘ was amazing + afterwards thought, ‘I wish I could get that one move down’, thankfully, NOWNESS is here to help.  Check out the instructional video above, by none other than choreographer Ryan Heffington, the master behind the moves.  Of course, Heffington was channeled beautifully through 11yo dancer, Maddie Ziegler in the final video.

To make the video that much more entertaining, you get to hear director Andrea Sisson’s voiceover comically breaking down the routine for us.

Enjoy!

Alexandre Vauthier Scores A Touchdown With Athletic Appeal For Spring

image

Known for his sexy, tight + skin baring creations, for his RTW Spring collection, designer Alexandre Vauthier tried something new.  Alongside his hot dresses, often baring the pelvic bone with a lot of leg or short ones, so tight you’d think he wrapped the models in saran wrap, he added several athletic looks + accents.

There were timeless simple short sleeved mini dresses in sports jersey material but these were different.  Vauthier added luxe chin guards with high heeled sandals, making that look simply unforgettable.

Gareth Pugh SS/15 Collection Summed Up In Three Short Fashion Films

1] ‘Megalith’ shows the different models as music box figures spinning + moving at a staccato pace, then transforming into children’s storybook characters that jumped out of their pages + into the studio, happy to get their ‘close up’!

2] ‘CHAOS’ is just that but a bit tame.  It looks like a pagan ritual with exceptionally dressed attendees, while the pointed hat figure, surrounded by a large circle, reminded me of a Nick Cave ‘Sound Suit’ that was opened like an umbrella + stayed like that.

3] ‘Ascension’, the final film, opens with a shot of models posed like mourners in many paintings of Jesus Christ before ascending up to heaven.  As soon as the main figure starts to rise, the models move with reverence + rejoice for what just took place.
